I recently discovered that
our old pal Clippy has successfully made the transition to character mode Unix editors:

That's right, you can
get your very own Clippy in the popular text-mode Unix editor VI -- a project called
Vigor.
There's also
a great Clippy parody applet you can "accidentally" install on your coworker's computers.* At periodic intervals, helpful messages will pop up, Clippy style:

* Not that I would know anything about that.
