It's kinda wierd, but this mouse looks to me more like it's designed by Apple for the Mac than something by Microsoft. It's nothing like their current line of Intellimice. All in all, this mouse looks cool in a funky way. But I'm happy with the intellimouse and my logitech mx500 at home.

Look over the MS Pass site. The mouse was designed by Starck, who is a famous designer.

I don't like the recent changes to the keyboard/mouse line that MS made. The lack of "click" with the mouse and the #$%@ "F Lock" on the keyboard are annoyances that prevent me from upgrading. If MS keeps doing these annoying changes, I'll probably be getting a Logitech in the future too.

Yes the F-lock key is frustrating @#$! If i forget about to disable the f-key functionality, alt-f4 opens a new window instead of closing the window! It's a bother having to press the F-lock key everytime the computer restarts just to get the function keys to work correctly. The function keys should work as function keys by default. I wonder if there is a way to set this? Nothing came up from a quick googling.

Yes there is a way to bypass it.. or so this website says:

It's essentially a remap of the keyboard button using the MSKLC (Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator) tool.

I haven't tried this yet, but supposedly it works.

Hi

Thanks for mentioning my F Lock page as a way to get around the pesky F Lock functionality.

Just wanted to let you know that I've updated the page so that there is now a method to work around this issue when you are using a USB keyboard (the old method used the scan code mapper, which works on PS2 ports only).
